About this Event
A hands-on Cloud Engineering program for students and anyone interested in learning cloud and growing their tech skills. Schedule: 5 Saturdays from 5 September to 3 October 2026, 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM (2 hours per session). The program is led by Andreas, an experienced Platform Engineer. The goal is to get participants to a point where they can understand, deploy, secure and troubleshoot a basic cloud environment autonomously. Course Outline: - Session 1 – Cloud Fundamentals ☁️ - Session 2 – Cloud Networking 🌐 - Session 3 – Compute, Storage & Databases 🗄️ - Session 4 – Security & Observability 🔐 - Session 5 – Infrastructure as Code & Capstone 🚀 The learning journey: Understand → Deploy → Connect → Secure → Monitor → Automate → Troubleshoot. Prerequisite knowledge: - Basic Linux fundamentals - We recommend practising with the OverTheWire "Bandit" wargame (link below) to get comfortable with the Linux command line before the program begins.
